Nearly ready for Swindon Open Studios

This week I have started to get paintings finished, signed, and even on the wall! This is the first time I have taken part in an Open Studio event and I am looking forward to it. If you haven't been to an Open Studio event before it's a great way to see some art in a relaxed environment and you're very welcome to come.

This picture above shows some of the city paintings of rivers and waterways I have been working on this year. Paris on the left, Gloucester Docks on the right. Wherever I go I like to make a point of going on a boat trip. and doing some sketching.

I'm very interested in colour, and how different combinations of colour can combine to create mood and atmosphere. By chance I hung these two together and it seems to be my evening light collection!
