Interior Art

Updated: Nov 5

My first interior drawings were inspired by buying my first house and endless pouring over decorating magazines! At the time I was recovering from an operation so these drawings were digital. I used interior photos from instagram acccounts with their permission (credited underneath):

This image contains a convex mirror, which I have always found intriguing. Drawing it and looking at the colours and complexity of reflections takes intrigue to another level. I always enjoy drawing metal, because of the way it reflects colours from all around, taking on light and shadow as well hue. Also works of art reflected in the mirror by Vladimir Tretchikoff (an artist whose prints are widely sold but I have to admit I have only heard of recently!)
