Overtown Manor: 6th May

I am doing a live painting event at Overtown Manor near Wroughton. Join us on a Wednesday afternoon on 6^th May 2026.

Watch local artist Mary Parsons at work, and discover the beauty in your local area.  

Spring brings out so much colour in a garden, and Mary loves to celebrate this in her vibrant art.  She captures the essence of a garden in a loose and expressive style.  She has worked as an Artist in Residence at Avebury Manor National Trust and Prospect Hospice.  She has also painted here at Overtown Manor. 

Watching a painting on canvas unfold is a chance to focus on something beautiful.  Learn how an artist uses colour, texture and detail to build up a picture. 

Mary is happy for people to watch her at work and ask questions.   She brings the art out of the gallery, so visitors can see creativity in action.  In the days of AI, it's all about people seeing something with their own eyes. 

Escape into a creative world and watch the art bloom!
