This was my first oil painting on location,  featuring the Railway Village in winter. 
 
It includes  St Mark's church, alongside the GWR park (which many locals will still know as Faringdon Road Park).  It was late winter, and warm enough to be outside and enjoy the sunshine.  The clear cool colours of the sky contrast the warmth of the sunlit stone, brick and grass.
