This sunny Dorset coast art print features the promenade of Lyme Regis.   I like my art to give the 'holiday feeling' where we take time to look at details.  Even for people who've not been there, they are bright and colourful to add colour to a home on a British décor / travel art print theme.   It is a charming example of a British seaside town, becoming popular during the Georgian era and well preserved to this day.

For people that have been this could be a colourful art souvenir of Lyme Regis.  It is not an aspect of Lyme Regis that is painted so often but I love the refreshing breezy colours and brightness of coastal architecture.  Although it doesn’t feature the sea, I wanted it to feel like the sea is nearby!  There are some interesting colour combinations, orange, mint green and purple. The colour palette was inspired by the mint chocolate ice cream I had.

The seawall defences along this eastern stretch of the Lyme Regis coast make for some interesting architecture and angled patterns. This was a digitally created collage using my old drawings, with some subtle detail in some areas but also a bold, simple blocked style in the parts caught by the sunlight.
