I love painting citrus fruit, especially lemons. The bright colour glowing in the sun contrasts the warm shady colours of the sandy toned courtyard. This is one of my favourite paintings. I wanted to share my memory of sitting and relaxing in this hotel courtyard in Corfu where we could reach out and pick the lemons from our balcony. I like to create art that gives the feeling of being on hoiday.
