The focal point is architectural, yet most of the canvas is covered by nature.  The foreground is taken up by large swathes of frozen grass, crystalised in the frost.  Hazy reflections give colour in the frosted pond.  A painterly winter scene, with abstract detail.  It is painted on an old canvas, with some of the texture and colour showing through.
