Sketching Workshop

Service Description

This is a small teaching group to develop basic sketching skills (maximum 4 participants). People can work at an individual level, with support from me. We can discuss what you’d like to learn, and what styles of working might suit you. Be prepared to try new things. Learning to sketch isn’t about achieving perfection, it’s about taking time to look and learning a few tricks. Through experimenting and practice you can find your own style. This could include dry materials or paint, black and white or colour. Whatever you use, the emphasis will be on confidence to draw. Through drawing from objects and surroundings, I will aim to build your confidence in drawing from life. This could be joining urban sketching trips, sitting in a café to draw, or continuing at home. Please bring your own materials. Age 16+. Tea and coffee provided. Please contact for more info. Nythe based (SN3), this will be in my house to keep costs low.
